Jenny De Jong, MSN, RN, CCRC, is a Project Manager on the administrative team for the ISSG. Prior to her work with the ISSG, De Jong had a career in nursing, with several years of inpatient nursing experience in Ohio and California. After that, she began working alongside Dr. Christopher Shaffrey and Dr. Justin Smith at the University of Virginia, as a clinical research coordinator, focused mainly on spine research.

During that time at UVA, she also earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree with a concentration in Clinical Trials Research from Drexel University. She then served as the of Director of Clinical Trials for the Department of Neurosurgery and Neuro-Oncology at UVA, before joining the ISSG as a Project Manager. In her role, she reviews data for quality assurance and works closely with investigators and sites to assist in executing the ISSG protocols.
